Overview
--------
MPG was written out of frustration. Originally, I used the built-in
version of Lotus 1-2-3 to keep track of the Miles/Gallon performance of
my car. This was fine until I wanted to load several applications at
once. With the memory requirements of 1-2-3 being so high it just 
seemed like a case of overkill.

MPG was written out of this need for a database program that had:
   *  a low memory requirement (128k)
   *  a small executable size (under 20k)
   *  the ability to calculate on the fly
   *  integrated error checking
   *  a small data file size
   *  an intuitive user interface
